Pennsylvania 166″ Archery Buck

PA big daddy 2017 buck
From longtime BIG DEER blogger Big Daddy:
Mike: I killed this 166″ buck with my bow today October 28 2017 @ 8:30 AM over a mock scrape I made along his rub line.–Terry “Big Daddy” Murphy
This beautiful buck is a milestone for Big Daddy, as it is the 40th archery-killed buck of his hunting career in PA, which is a one-buck state. Way to go BD!

  1. Thanks for the comments. I have hunted for 50 years the last 40 primarily with a bow for deer. If there is one thing I can say about success on mature bucks it is that it takes commitment and there is no short cut for hard work. I travel 4 hours one way to my hunting grounds an I go there year round to plant food plots, check cameras, etc. Late winter very early spring IMHO is the best time to find where deer have been traveling thru thick brush.
