Well, I don’t know of any cam with a shutter speed that fast, so don’t really know what’s up with that pic. Cool-looking though.
Yes, page 85 of Volume I. I’ll send a copy snapshots from my books and see if Mike will post, so all can see what the first trail camera looked like, in pioneer days.
If I’m not mistaken, that’s from the books “Hunting Wildlife with Camera and Flashlight” by George Shiras, a pioneer in nighttime wildlife photography. Peter White, his son-in-law had a summer home on Whitefish Lake in the UP where my great-grandparents were the caretakers, and some of the photos were taken. Early 1900’s. I could be wrong on the photo, but looks very familiar. I’ll grab my books to see if I can find the page.
