Mike, thanks. I must confess to being one of those hunters who probably don’t clean their guns often enough or properly. Most of the time a quick exterior rub down with a silicon cloth is the extent of my gun cleaning. Truth be told, one of my hunting buddies usually ends up shaking his head and muttering under his breath, and then cleans my gun for me. After watching the video, I am going to make the effort to do a better job when it comes to gun care.
Seems there are a lot of different ideas out there about gun cleaning.
I have read of at least one expert shooter (with major credentials) that shoots thousands of rounds out of his barrels and never cleans them. I know some guys personally that have not cleaned their rifles in 30 years and maintain good accuracy. Though most professionals recommend cleaning at least once a season.
