Good gracious. If he isn’t tagged, the place will look like an anthill of shed hunters come very early spring….. I feel for the locals. So fun to see that pic and think about a record. I pray that if he is taken its done respectfully.

That buck is a stud. I love those big, clean frames. Any pictures of the buck after he rubbed out of velvet? It is awesome just to know that bucks like that are out there, regardless of where they are in the country. Thanks.

Previously listed 2 Counties in Wisconsin – which ANYONE who reads – follows trophy whitetails knows the whereabouts of these 2 counties that annually produce trophy class Whitetails. Guys like Gary seem to think they have some ownership of a wild animal – get a clue dude- the deer is not yours until you put your tag on it… Blame the guys posting pics of the deer to begin with not others who report on it.. Everyone should be excited to know and think there is another potential World Record walking around… I hope next week Mike Hanback post a picture of a World Record Buck walking around my area… Thanks Mike! keep posting pics – the rest of us enjoy it!

First let me say I love the site and the pics that are posted and Mike is a great guy.
As far as the picture it was my picture and I only showed a handful of close comrades but someone I thought I could trust leaked it one day at a tavern when it was not for him to share. It’s 100% my fault for trusting this person, I own that. Just to be clear it was me who asked that the location to be removed, not Gary and I thank Mike for doing so. I did that because the last time there was rumors of a world record in the area (Field&Stream Buck) it was a total zoo with people driving by all the time and I do need that by my house nor people coming up to my place asking to hunt constantly and I hope you can respect that wish.
For those want to know, he’s not a clean 7×7, did grow long enough 6’s and he is not going to net World Record status although he is an incredible buck I’ve watched for a number of years now.
Enjoy the pics, maybe there will be a harvest story soon!

It previously listed more details in the description so I appreciate the stite taking that down. The landowners don’t need a shining circus around their property.

Great looking buck, hope someone is lucky enough to harvest him.
I would have to imagine if one person knows he exists than others do too. If your worried about someone poaching this deer than police your land, with neighbors vigorously and report any suspicious activity, nobody likes poachers. If this deer is living on public land than he’s fair game to all legal hunters and a single hunter shouldn’t take it so personal that others may be hunting him.
Good hunting to all…

Anything I share is with the knowledge that it could well end up in the public domain, especially when it deals with the subject of the blog and TV show.

Lighten up Gary – “Wisconsin” is a lot of ground to cover for the would be poacher. Given the sensitivity you display with your response though, perhaps that guy could investigate your name and narrow down the search area with the information that brings up.

Why must you post this?? No one needs to know anything about this buck until it is harvested.. You should of just put the address out there also and invited everyone to come chase him.. Downright stupid of you to post this!!!!
