A guy said he saw this listing on eBay and asked: Hanback, is this what hunting is coming to?

I don’t know where to start. Anyone who would shoot that poor buck in a 3-acre pen is certainly no hunter, but a disturbed individual. Bring your child along? And what, have him or her experience the exact opposite of fair chase? Sick.
This is America and I’m all for the free market economy, but these kinds of penned kill operations must be stopped. Some states have banned them, and all states should.
Back to the question: Is this what hunting is coming to? No, this is just a sad exception that makes all hunters look and feel bad.
I would like to concur with Maverick on one thing. I know that places like The Sanctuary, and many of the huge fenced-in places in Texas draw a lot of ire from many in the hunting industry; but there clearly is a difference between one of those huge acred areas, and this “3 acre pasture”. There is also a big difference in larger enclosures that “guarantee” a kill (i.e. “so, if the hunting isn’t good, we’ll drug up a giant for you and make it look like you killed it in fair chase. That’ll be $25,000, hero!”) With this said I will keep my hunting to wild, 100% fair chase environments…”Where the buffalo roam, and the deer and the antelope play…”!
well said Dean
Things like that sicken me too! There is no sport in this crap and it reminds me of the people who were trying to let clients shoot deer from their computers at home a while back. Do you remember that? People could control a rifle from their computer and shoot animals over feeders in small enclosures. I have no problem with large high fence hunting places, but this guy said a 3 acre pasture!?! The smallest game pen I knew of growing up was 40 acres and I thought that was disgusting, but then there’s this.
Do you have a link to the ad? I can’t seem to find it.
In the word’s of my late Grandfather, Floyd “Buster” Ely… Pathetic!!
