(Louisiana Sportsman) Everyone knows the only way to kill a deer is to be in the woods, but when 20-year-old Alex LeBlanc announced he was going to sit a stand yesterday afternoon, his buddies scoffed. After all, it was too windy, warm and humid.

Congrats Alex on this amazing buck, good work man!
Mike the south has had an astounding year for trophy buck production. Alex’s buck was the second buck killed in LA to break the old record this year. It’s neighbor has really been putting out some monster bucks this year as well, Mississippi and Louisiana will have more Boone and Crockett entries this year than ever before, mark my words. QDM is finally starting to set in with the hunters in those states and the deer taken this year are proof.
Great buck Alex. He has everything. I guess it just goes to show you always have a chance….if you are out there. I didn’t even think they grew ’em that big in Louisiana. Congratulations. Did your buddies help you drag him out? Ha!
Wow. The mass on that thing is incredible! Just…wow!
Great buck. Awesome mass for a “southern” buck. Congrats to the hunter; way to show your buddies what’s up. LOL!
Side note: Hanback, it looks as though Virginia is gonna get a blast of Canadian/Great Lakes snow in about a day. It’s missing us this time, but not you it appears.
