Although I’ve only been hunting with a rifle the last couple seasons in Indiana I chose the Core Lokt for the price and the overall history of Remington Arms and Ammunition. I was using 130 gr. soft point because that same rifle doubled as a Coyote gun. But, at Hanback’s advice I’ve since switched over to the 150 gr. load. Still a good coyote round and packs a bit more punch for deer. I have the Remington 770 in Winchester .270. It’s obviously not a high end rifle, but it was given to me by my brother as a wedding gift and it’s just fine for what I need. I also still use my 12 gauge and T.C. muzzleloader…depending on what mood I’m in during our firearms season.
