I shot this buck up on a mountain in Maine, he was chasing two does and there was another big buck in his tracks but with a smaller rack. The rut was in full gear that day. Green score on the rack is 188 inches and the deer weighed 213 lbs. Nice dark rack.–Ty
Way to go man, Maine is a great place to hunt but a tough place to kill a 180-inch buck. To my mind Gene’s buck is one of the top trophies of 2017!
That’s a great buck buddy… Congrats to you…
I’ve been hunting N-Maine for the last 25 years and let me tell you that’s a buck of a lifetime. To kill him in Maine is an accomplishment most could never appreciate … For those who do hunt Maine you know what I’m talking about…
Gonna be tough to beat that one Gene but I hope you do…
Congrats again on an amazing buck…
Awesome. BUCK. BUT MY DAD HAS U BEAT….252LBS. HUGE. ODD RACK 12PTS. NORTHERN MAINE WOODS. PALMER CECCHETELLI.
To whom it may concern,
The 188” Maine mountain buck that you posted was shot by Gene Doughty from Wells , Maine and it was Shot in waterboro Maine Just wanted to clearify that. Gene has been my best friend my whole adult life and am very close to his whole family. He deserves recognition for this buck not anyone else. He is on Facebook if you need any verification.
Thank you ,
Steve Bickford
To everyone’s mind that is a hell of a buck, more so that it came from Maine.Well done!
Wowsers. Would have guessed W. Canada at a glance. That is a mega-buck for sure. Congratulations Ty! A dream buck.
