Texas 548-Inch Buck

From the Recordbuck Ranch Facebook page: Jerry has finally received the official score for his monster buck. It was officially scored at 548" and takes the record for the largest buck in Texas!!! Way to go Jerry, congratulations. Well deserved for a wonderful man we are glad to call our friend. #monsterbuck #whitetail #500 #texaswhitetail #recordbuckranch This is obviously a high-fence buck, and it has generated a lot of conversation, with passion on both sides: A man has the right to hunt in a high fence if he so chooses…or, high-fence hunts are not fair chase and do the image of deer hunters no good. Happy to share I caught up with this 10-pointer named "Zeus.” Shot him with my Remington .270 as he chased does hard opening morning. Wisconsin: Fond Du Lac Giant Buck, 183!

Hello Mike: Kieran Weed here, big fan of your show. Got this monster opening morning 11/21/15 at about 9:30 am in Fond Du Lac County WI. Jumped him out of a patch of grass in the middle of a 300-acre bean stubble field. 3 shots with my .300 WSM and he was down. 18 scorable points, green scores 183 5/8. Awesome buck Kieran, way to go man! As the season winds down, everybody send more big-deer photos and stories for me to post and share.

Oklahoma Big Buck: 227 6/8″

Gary Fears watched our BIG DEER TV episode shot in western Oklahoma and sent me this: Hey Mike, I shot this 227 6/8-inch bruiser in November 2010 not far from where you hunt in northwest Oklahoma. I watch your show and am glad you show just how good the deer hunting is here in Oklahoma. I took this buck the day before Thanksgiving 2010. We had a late rut that year and he was chasing a hot doe. He ran off a very respectable 10 point, but stayed back in some cedars for probably 15 minutes or more. He never got closer than 225 yards so I took the shot and put him down.
