Several years ago, South Dakota hunter Kelly Kirsch told me he’d come up with an idea for his shed collection, and his antler tree blew me away. Ever since it’s been the official Christmas tree of BIG DEER! Thanks to all of you for making 2020 a great traffic year for BIG DEER. I take “rutcation” every year from November 1st-15th from work. Well, this year was amazing! I saw a ton of deer but I was after 2 particular bucks, and by the end of my vacation I only saw them twice. They weren't close enough to shoot. My rutcation ended and I went back to work. One of the coolest bucks and stories of the year. From The Dallas Morning News: Virginia Luce’s 11-pointer isn’t the biggest buck reported from eastern Texas this season, but the story behind her Houston County whopper is arguably one of the most refreshing to come down the pike in quite a while. Virginia, 80, is a cancer survivor who recently retired after working 25 years as a registered nurse.
