Oklahoma Muzzleloader Buck

Mike: I thought you'd like to see the buck I shot with a muzzle loader in Oklahoma this year. He's a cool looking buck with 18 points (15 score-able) and scores in the low 140's. The hunt was pretty awesome. He came in from the opposite direction that a doe came from, but turned around to follow her trail through a thicket before I could get a real good look at him or get a shot. I snort wheezed at him twice, and he came back out about 2 minutes later looking for the "buck" that had made the noise. One shot from the muzzleloader and he went about 20 yards. Wide Virginia 8-Point Buck

John sent a picture of this great buck that was shot Saturday morning in Spotsylvania County, which is not too far down the road from my home in VA. Reportedly the buck was pushing a doe, so it seems there is still some late rutting action going on here. Great deer, wide and symmetrical, a real beauty.

Dustin sent this photo of the huge buck his buddy Nick shot with his PSE bow near Aberdeen the weekend after opening archery 2013. It was scored unofficially at 172.5”. Will get the hunt report soon…way to go Nick, that’s one fine looking brute.

Saskatchewan 3-Beamed Buck!

My friend Grant Kuypers of Buck Paradise guides American hunters to some amazing bucks each year…and this season he even got to hunt a day himself. Grant and his son Ian had been getting trail cam pictures of this unique deer living tight behind their house.
